I began designing and making jewelry in 2006 when I became a full time resident of Kiawah Island, South Carolina. After 27 years of living in Chicago, I immediately loved the coast of South Carolina!

All of my jewelry is designed and handmade in my studio on Kiawah Island.  Much of my enjoyment and satisfaction comes for searching for unique semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and handmade beads from around the world. 

My jewelry designs are named after birds, shells and plants of the ocean and the South Carolina low country.  The look is casual but with a classic and sophisticated style. 

All jewelry pieces will be sent in a chocolate brown jewelry box with a Barb Clawson Designs gift enclosure card.

Jewelry Care

The jewelry is created with freshwater pearls, gemstones and Swarovski crystals.  To maintain shine and brilliance it should be cared for by storing in an airtight bag with anti-tarnish cloth that is provided with every purchase.  Avoid using chemicals and cleaners.
